Three CNUSD Bands Take Top Honors

Arcadia, CA - This past weekend, three of CNUSD’s high school marching bands and color guards, Norco High School, Roosevelt High School, and Santiago High School, competed in the prestigious Arcadia Festival of Bands Invitational Tournament, one of Southern California’s largest and longest-running marching arts events.

In an extraordinary showing, all three CNUSD programs earned a spot in the elite AA Division, the tournament’s highest competitive class. It is exceptionally rare for a single school district to have multiple ensembles qualify for the top division, yet this year, CNUSD not only placed three groups in AA, but those very groups went on to sweep the top three rankings.

Since its founding in 1955, the Arcadia Festival has welcomed up to 44 ensembles annually, drawing many of the strongest marching programs in the region. CNUSD’s students rose to the occasion, delivering performances marked by musical excellence, precision, and artistry.

“We are extremely proud of our students,” shared Joseph Dudek, noting the dedication, rehearsal hours, and teamwork required to perform at such a high level. The accomplishments of Norco, Roosevelt, and Santiago reflect the strength of CNUSD’s music education programs and the passion of the students, directors, and families who support them.

Congratulations to all three ensembles for representing CNUSD with excellence!
