Vaccination Requirements & TB Clearance


SB277 requires that all children in California be fully vaccinated to attend public or private school. Fully vaccinated means having received, or started to receive and not due for the next dose, the correct age-appropriate number of doses of the following vaccinations: 

·        DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus & Pertussis [Whooping cough])

·        Hepatitis B

·        Haemophilus influenza type b (commonly referred to as Hib) *only for preschool entry*

·        MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella)

·        Polio

·        Varicella

CNUSD is required to implement this law.

Additional Resources for School-Required Immunizations

CNUSD still requires some students to provide documentation of TB (tuberculosis) clearance. PROOF OF TB CLEARANCE is required if the student:

1) is entering preschool

2) is enrolling in school for the first time since moving to the United States

3) has a history of a positive TB skin test
