March 2023 School Spotlights

On March 7, 2023, the Board recognized four schools for their current english learners making progress towards english language proficiency. We are incredibly proud of our students and teachers for their work!

ABOUT: The English Learner Progress Indicator (ELPI) shows the percentage of current English Learners making progress towards English Language Proficiency (ELPAC).

English Learners take the ELPAC to measure progress towards English language proficiency. Each student receives one of four ELPAC performance levels. The four ELPAC performance levels are then divided into six ELPI levels to allows students enough time to demonstrate progress toward English language proficiency in the ELPI.

To show progress toward English language proficiency, English Learners must increase at least one ELPI level from the previous year.
