Standards-Based Report Cards

Standards-Based Grading Report Cards

What is Standards-Based Grading?

Educational standards are the learning goals for what students should know and be able to do at each grade level. Standards-Based Grading is a system that focuses on standards in teaching and assessing a student's performance. It encourages a growth mindset and ongoing self-assessment. Standards-Based Grading separates behavior from academic performance and measures students' levels of progress toward learning outcomes. By reporting on specific learning standards, students receive feedback about how they are progressing towards meeting end of year grade-level standards.
