CNUSD Band & Orchestra All-State and All-Southern Honor Groups

The California All-State Music Educator’s Conference (CASMEC) took place Virtually this year.  This conference features performances by All-State High School and Middle School Honor Bands and Orchestras.  Among the top high school and middle school musicians in the state, were 7 CNUSD students . Approximately 2,500 students from schools throughout the state auditioned, here are the 7 CNUSD students that were selected to participate: 

• Luc Eldridge, Roosevelt High School – Clarinet, HS Concert Band 
• Kaleigh Herrera, Santiago High School - Flute, HS Honor Concert Band 
• Matthew Chandler, Roosevelt High School – Clarinet, HS Symphonic Band 
• Cooper Randeen, Santiago High School – Trumpet, HS Symphonic Band 
• Carson Ruhnke, Santiago High School – Trombone, HS Symphonic Band 
• Jason Bernhard, Santiago High School – Trombone, HS Symphony Orchestra 
• Josia Sulaiman, Santiago High School – Bass, HS

Symphony Orchestra CASMEC is In conjunction with The California Band Directors Association (CBDA),  California Orchestra Director’s Association (CODA) and The California Association for Jazz (CAJ ).
