Students Participate in Hands Only CPR Program

CNUSD in partnership with the Corona Fire Department and AMR Ambulance have been involved in conducting training involving our secondary students.

The Corona-Norco Unified School District in partnership with the Corona Fire Department and AMR Ambulance have been involved in conducting training involving secondary students. The training is called Hands Only CPR. The purpose of the training is to provide our students with skills to perform CPR in the event an individual experiences cardiac arrest.

Last month, a Hands Only CPR training was held at Corona Fundamental Intermediate and Corona High School.  Almost 1,400 students were trained in this session.

This training has been in place for several years and each year, approximately 5,000 students participate. The training is a skill they will be able to use for future if needed. The Corona-Norco Unified School District is committed to safety and improving awareness and increasing the level of preparedness of our students and staff in the event of an emergency.
