Orange Grove High Wins Rookie of the Year Award at Design Build Competition

Orange Grove High School students participated in a two day design build competition to promote career awareness of the construction industry among high school students. This event was presented by The CIE Foundation (Construction industry Education Foundation).

During the four-month program, each team is challenged to design and prepare several construction documents according to criteria outlined by CIEF. Teams build their structure (shed) during a two-day competition and are judged by industry professionals on the completion of design, construction, code compliance, and safety.

Orange Grove was sponsored by Bombel Construction. They provided all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the competition. In addition, they helped mentor and oversee the blueprint design for the Shed.
