 Welcome to the Corona

Fundamental W

Corona Fundamental Intermediate School (also known as CFIS) is a school of choice where traditional values and high expectations meet. Our students receive standards-based instruction in a year-round, four-track school. For the past eight years, our students have achieved above 800 on their Academic Performance Index, a truly remarkable achievement. CFIS also has incredible PTSA support, and their efforts help contribute to our continuing growth.

Please check back on our website, as we often update our page with the latest news and information. For up-to-the-minute updates, please follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/cfis.falcons . We are also on Instagram at www.instagram.com/cfis.falcons .

Neighborhood Parking
We understand that parking is tricky, but we kindly ask that all members of the CFIS learning community respect the neighborhood and please do not block driveways with your vehicles. Thank you.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Safety First
Student drop-off/pick-up is on Belle and Grand Ave. Olive Street is for staff and visitor parking. Please refrain from stopping in red zones or pulling into resident driveways. Thank you for your cooperation.

Safety First
Bring Your I.D.
Student safety is a priority at CFIS. Please bring valid, government-issued identification with you to the front office if you are picking up a student from school. Students will not be released if your name is not on file in the student's emergency card.

CFIS PTSA still needs you! We are looking to fill one remaining position on the Executive Board: VP of Ways and Means. Additionally, we have several non-elected positions still needing to be filled: Historian, Parliamentarian, Communications Director, and Reflections-- most of which require little time or previous experience. Please click on the link to view a description of each open position and an interest form: CFIS PTSA Executive Board 2014-15 Information and Application. If you would like to join the PTSA Board for the 2014-2015 school year, please contact Monica at mtpalochik@yahoo.com. Thank you for your time and consideration of this important organization at CFIS.

  • Keeping Schools Safe
    - How Parents Can Help -
    Safe School
School safety is of the utmost priority at Corona-Norco Unified School District, which is why systems and programs are in place and evaluated each year to ensure the safety of our students and staff. The District takes an uncompromising responsibility to provide a safe learning environment for all students and encourages parents and community members to assist us in our efforts in keeping our schools safe. For this reason, the District has partnered with our local law enforcement agencies to develop the “How Parents Can Help Keep Our Schools Safe” video. This video provides an overview about the District’s safety protocols and provides tips on how parents can help during a school crisis. Parents are invited to view & share this new school safety video.
