Strategic Plan

Strategic Plan

Your Voice. Our Future.

As we approach the end of the school year, we know many families, students, and staff are looking forward to some well-deserved time off to relax and recharge. Before summer break begins, we invite you to take a few moments to share your voice.

The District is updating its Strategic Plan, which will help set the vision and goals for the next five years. The plan will also guide the District’s work by identifying key actions and creating a framework to measure and report progress to our community.

To support this work, we gathered feedback through focus groups made up of students, parents, staff, and community members. Using this input, our Steering Committee also worked together to develop seven draft Power Objectives for community review.

We invite you to share your thoughts by completing this anonymous survey. Your input will help shape the future of CNUSD and ensure our Strategic Plan reflects the priorities of our students, families, staff, and community.

We also encourage you to have your student(s) participate in the survey, as their perspectives and experiences are invaluable in helping us create a vision that supports the success of all learners.

The survey includes seven questions and one open-ended response.

Your feedback will help shape the District’s path forward. Once approved by the School Board, these objectives will serve as the foundation for the goals and measurable outcomes we use to track our progress and success.

Click the link below to complete the survey. The survey will close on June 18, 2026.

2021-2026 Strategic Plan

The Corona-Norco Unified School District has developed a strategic plan to guide the Districts work for the next five years by establishing strategic goals for our District, identifying specific actions to achieve those objectives, and creating a framework to report progress to our community members.

Focused Strategic Plan for Success

CNUSD’s Strategic Plan serves as a roadmap to guide our efforts in providing high-quality education and ensuring the success of every student. It outlines our shared vision, mission, and priorities, aligning all educational partners to support the achievement of clearly defined objectives.

To streamline our efforts and maximize impact, we have identified key Power Objectives from the Strategic Plan to focus on. These objectives are critical areas where we will monitor progress and measure to ensure continuous improvement. These focus areas reflect our commitment to aligning resources and strategies to meet the needs of our students and staff effectively.

By narrowing our focus to these objectives, we aim to deliver measurable outcomes and ensure that every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally. We invite all educational partners to join us in this journey of excellence as we work collaboratively to “connect the dots” and create lasting impact for our community.

A visually engaging document from the Corona-Norco Unified School District outlining their strategic plan's power objectives. The document highlights focus areas including literacy at grade level, meeting math standards, multi-tiered system of supports, enhancing school safety teams, talent development and employee retention, equity and access, and fiscal forecasting. Each section provides detailed goals and commitments. The design features bold headings, icons, and a clean layout with a footer noting the theme "Connecting the Dots," dated December 4, 2024.

STRATEGIC PLAN IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE

In early 2021, CNUSD embarked on creating the 2021-26 Strategic Plan with contributions from over 1,000 stakeholders. Adopted in June 2021, the plan guides our educational efforts. In July of 2023, CNUSD developed the Strategic Plan Implementation Update. This update maintains the same goals and objectives of our original Strategic Plan, with reorganized indicators and milestones for better clarity and accountability
