After School Programs

Expanded Learning Programs
(Formerly After Educations & Safety (ASES) Program)

Corona-Norco Unified School District currently has after-school programs operating at 11 of our elementary schools. These programs are funded through a California Department of Education After-School Education and Safety Program (ASES) grant.

The Expanded Learning programs run from the close of school each day until 6:00 p.m. and are required to provide an academic hour, a nutritious snack, and enrichment activities. The programs are free, and enrollment is voluntary. The number of students who might be accepted into the after-school program at each site is limited and varies according to the amount of funding the school receives. Schools may choose to prioritize enrollment of students into the program based on academic need.

Each school's elementary after-school program offers a safe environment in which academic support, enrichment activities and social emotional development occur every day. Per the funding guidelines, students enrolled in the elementary programs are expected to attend the full program daily. Students exiting the program prior to 6:00 p.m. must adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Early Release Policy.

The Expanded Learning After School Program is offered at these elementary schools:
