2020-21 School Year Update

2020-21 School Year Update

Dear CNUSD Families,

Welcome to the 2020-21 School Year! While our Year-Round schools have been under way for the past month, our traditional school sites are set to begin remotely this Tuesday, August 11.

As you know, last month, families were able to select either the Traditional/Remote or Virtual School model for the upcoming year, and due to current public health restrictions set by Governor Newsom in Mid-July, we must begin the year in a Remote learning environment.

  • To view your students selected instructional program please log into the Parent Connect portal at....
  • Elementary School Students: As of Sunday, August 9th, parents will be able to view their student’s assigned teacher in Parent Connect.
  • Junior High and High School Students: As of Sunday, August 9th student schedules will be viewable on Parent Connect.
  • Parents can anticipate receiving communications directly from their school site and teachers over the next few days with additional information for the start of school including class schedules, supply pick-up, classroom links and codes, etc.
  • If there is any question about who your student’s teacher(s) is or accessing Parent Connect, please contact your school office.

Finally, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our teachers, classified employees, administrators and all support staff for the hard work they have done during this pandemic. It has been no easy task to prepare for this school year, it is only through the partnership with our community of teachers, staff, and parents that we can create the best possible learning environment for our students in the current circumstances. It takes creativity, courage and extra effort to ensure our students will thrive this year and I believe our community has what it takes to make that happen. Let’s learn and grow together.

Sincerely,

Dr. Michael H. Lin
Superintendent

Aprendamos y crezcamos juntos.

Sinceramente,

Dr. Michael H. Lin

Superintendente
