Ms. Amanda Sandoval, History Teacher at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, was named a 2023 California Council for the Social Studies (CCSS) High School Outstanding Social Studies Teacher of the year! Ms. Sandoval will be honored at a special event during the 2023 CCSS Annual Conference on Saturday, February 25th. Congratulations, Ms. Sandoval! Thank you for all that you do. 

About Ms. Sandoval

Ms. Sandoval teaches History at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. Her greatest passion lies in her commitment to provide high quality lessons to her students every time she steps inside the classroom. She holds both her students and herself to high expectations and devotes countless hours to develop engaging lessons that are both enjoyable and memorable.  Strategies such as technology integration, simulations, document-based learning and SIOP have been essential in her endeavor to reach all students, especially her sheltered students. Ms. Sandoval earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees at Cal Poly, Pomona.
