Corona, CA - This year’s CTE Photography Program at Santiago High School adapted a worldwide art project called Inside Out. This art project empowers communities to tell their stories in the public space.

The theme of the project is “Turning Education Inside Out.”

"During the lockdown and through the pandemic, students and educators were separated by the remote learning process, said Mr. Solis, Santiago Photography Teacher. "While it caused a whirlwind of effort, emotions, and many struggles, I wanted to focus on the people who are still actively pursuing an education at Santiago High School."

Students photographed each other against a backdrop of halftone dots/pixels that signify the printing process. By showing images of students and the art department teachers, Mr. Solis wanted the public to have a “face to face” experience, therefore turning the campus Inside/Out.

This project was made possible by the students, staff, administration and the Corona-Norco Unified School District.

"I hope this project brings a smile to your face, completing the cycle of creating and viewing images," said Mr. Solis.

Public viewing is available on East Chase Drive between Rimpau and California in Corona.
